School Years: A Family Keepsake of School Memories Book Review

Can you believe it? Back to school time is quickly approaching. Where did the summer go? My daughter's school starts back in just 16 days! For us, it seems the summer just flew by. With school starting again so soon I thought that I would share with everyone a great way to keep track of all those precious school memories.

I found this terrific book; School Years: A Family Keepsake of School Memories on Amazon. I am sure you could find it at most online bookstores also. It is by Stephen Britt & Chronicle Books. Here is what they have to say about it:

Publisher's Description:
Families will love this cute and clever keepsake album for recording precious milestone and accomplishments. Both parent and child can fill each expandable pockets, there's one for every year from kindergarten to 12th grade with photos, report cards, art projects, and other mementos. In keeping track of favorite subjects, hobbies, and friends, families create an ongoing memory book to cherish for years to come.

My thoughts:
I have found this book to be quite simple to use. It is spiral bound, which I really like. There is one page, front and back, for each school year.

There is a space for a wallet sized school photo. You can record things like the teacher's name, the school & your child's age, height and weight. You can also write in your child's favorite subject, best friends and more. For each year there is an inside pocket to store things like report cards, awards and other documents, etc.
The only drawback that I have found is the size. It measures 7.6 x 1.3 x 9.5 inches, which makes it a little difficult to hold a lot of items. I would have liked to be able to keep larger things like drawings or artwork in the same place. With that said, If you are looking for a low-cost( I found mine for less than $10) memory album to keep your child's school memories easily organized then this might just be the one for you.

I hope you have enjoyed my review & wish everyone a blessed and wonderful new school year.

Welcome to Views by Kelly; My first post!

Hi & welcome to my blog. Let me introduce myself. My name is Kelly & I am a dedicated, single Mom to a wonderful 8 year old daughter.

She is the light of my life and my reason for being. She totally has me wrapped around her cute little finger. We have a new, 10 week old fur-baby that has brought a huge ray of light to our little world.

She is a whopping 1.6 lbs. of wonder, excitement & lots of tail-wagging love!

Is everything all sunshine & roses? No, that is one reason I started this blog. Over the last two years our life has been full of big changes, some that I never saw coming. It has been full of health problems, financial struggles & learning a lot of valuable lessons. I thought this blog could be a way of working through things and sharing some of my journey with others. Hopefully, I will continue to learn as I go & hopefully pass along some of that to my readers.

I hope you will drop by and visit often. I will be sharing info, doing family-friendly product reviews and sharing things that help make my life easier and maybe yours, too. I will be planning some awesome giveaways for my readers as well, so be sure to subscribe to my newsletter. I will be posting as time & my health allows. So, thank you for taking the time to stop by and getting to know a little bit about me and my blog. I hope to see you back here very soon. Have a blessed day.
